Tony Khan: 9/28 AEW TV Taping Attendance Is Voluntary Due To Hurricane Ian

AEW President Tony Khan wants to keep everyone in the company safe in light of Hurricane Ian.

The severe storm is expected to hit Florida over the next few days, causing substantial rain and flooding. President Biden approved a state of emergency declaration for Florida.

With this in mind, Khan took to Twitter and stated that, in case anyone in the company missed his email, attendance for AEW’s TV taping this week is voluntary due to the hurricane. Noting that it could affect their travel, home, or family life, he stated that those impacted or concerned can “take care of business” at home, and he hopes to see everyone next week.

“For everyone in @AEW, in case you missed our email, anyone worried about Hurricane Ian affecting your travel or home or your family life, it’s voluntary to come to tv this week. Anyone affected by the hurricane can take care of business at home, & we hope to see you all next week,” Khan wrote.

Tony Khan later followed up and addressed some feedback about his public message, noting that he took to social media because he did in fact get some people that missed the initial email asking questions.

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite will emanate from The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA. This week’s show is advertising the following segments for Wednesday:

AEW World Championship Eliminator
Jon Moxley vs Juice Robinson

ROH World Championship
Chris Jericho vs. Bandido

Appearances from Saraya and MJF

WrestleZone sends its best wishes to everyone impacted by the hurricane.
