D-Von Dudley Shoots Down Rumor That He And Bully Ray Have Heat

D-Von Dudley says there are no issues between himself and Bully Ray.

During a recent appearance on the A2theK Wrestling Show, D-Von was asked about an apparent rift between the pair. D-Von said a lot of people thought they had issues but it wasn’t the case.

“Yeah, we actually just spoke yesterday about something, an autograph signing we’re doing together. A lot of people thought me and Bubba were at odds. We weren’t at odds, we needed a break. We were together for 20 years, I saw him more than I saw my first two wives, which wasn’t a bad idea, trust me. [laughs] Sometimes you need a break, and that’s what we did. We took a break and we’re reuniting like KISS putting the makeup back on and getting back on stage again.”

D-Von, who recently had spinal fusion surgery, said he won’t be wrestling at these appearances but teased he might throw a punch or hit a Dudley Death Drop from time to time.

“We’re going to do all the hits that you want us to do, but we’re going to do it from an autograph signing standpoint and if I’ve got to be on the outside, walking him down the aisle and throwing a punch here and there, I can do that. I’ve told the promoters who are bringing us to do this stuff that Bubba will be the main guy wrestling in the ring and I will be the one on the outside tripping and doing everything that D-Von can do on the outside. If I’ve got to get in the ring, I’ll get in the ring, but I’m not taking any bumps.”

“You might get exactly what you want. You might get the Dudley Boys, but without going into a full match detail. You’ll get everything you want, you’ll get the greatest hits. You might even get a 3D in there.”

D-Von’s new comments could be in response to his remarks made during a past appearance on The Cut Pro Wrestling Podcast. There, D-Von spoke about not working with Bully anymore and said that there’s no hard feelings, but they no longer worked together in any capacity.

“I wish him nothing but the best. We do not do business anymore. There’s no hard feelings and I don’t have any animosity toward him. He’s doing his thing and I’m doing my thing. Bubba and I are not at odds with each other. We don’t hate one another, we just went different ways like most tag teams. This is not a Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels thing where we hate each other. We don’t. We just had a difference of opinions and went our separate ways. Even the wrestling school, he has the wrestling school in Connecticut, I have the one in Winter Park [Florida] over here. We both individually own our wrestling schools but we just do things separately now. That’s all.”
