Dark Side of the Ring co-creator Jason Eisener is hopeful about the series’ future, but he says can’t give a firm answer on it yet.
The VICE TV show became a smash hit in the wrestling world, but since the end of the third season in October 2021, its future has been unclear. It hasn’t been renewed for another season yet, and Eisener and Evan Husney are currently focused on their new series, Tales from the Territories, which they paired up with The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions to produce.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, Eisener was asked about the status of Dark Side of the Ring, and he responded by expressing his hope that they’ll be able to tell more stories moving forward.
“It’s not something I can quite answer yet, but it’s not … We’re definitely thinking about more Dark Side of the Ring,” Eisener said. “It’s definitely something that will, hopefully, be in the cards in the future. But right now, we’re gearing up for Tales From The Territories to come out … But yeah, there’s going to be plenty more wrestling documentaries that are going to come out from me.”
VICE TV previously stated that it is “as committed as ever” to Dark Side of the Ring.
