Ruby Soho Set For Surgery To Repair Broken Nose, Pulled From Upcoming UK Appearance

Ruby Soho confirms a broken nose is preventing her from making a scheduled appearance in the UK next month.

Ruby Soho issued a new video statement via 1PW (UK promotion One Pro Wrestling) and confirmed she will be unable to appear at the promotion’s October 1 event. Ruby broke her nose at AEW All Out on September 4 and she has been out of action since then.

“It is yours truly, Ruby Soho, here with some disappointing news. Now, due to the injury that I received at All Out, a broken nose in two places and a mess of a septum, I have to have surgery. And due to the scheduling of that surgery and the recovery time, I won’t be able to make it to the show on October 1. You guys, I’m really, really sorry I’m not going to be able to make it and be there. Honestly, this is the only thing that would keep me from coming back to England. I was very much looking forward to the show and very much looking forward to meeting all of you, seeing all of you again. So for that, I do truly apologize.”

Ruby closed by hyping the current lineup that will still be on the October show, then said she’s hopeful to return for 1PW’s February 2023 event.

Ruby Soho and Ortiz teamed up during the Zero Hour portion of the All Out broadcast against Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo (Conti) for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship. Soho broke her nose after getting caught with a stiff Tay-KO from Tay, and she was holding her face as she left the ring. PWInsider.com later confirmed that Ruby did indeed break her nose when taking the move.

It is unclear how long Ruby Soho will be out because of the injury and recovery from surgery, but we will update the situation as more information is learned.
