MJF officially has a new stable behind him, as the AEW superstar introduced The Firm during tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
In a segment in the ring that featured MJF taking shots at Jon Moxley and any other superstar left in the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions, MJF said that other superstars better stay out of his way, because he’s got friends behind him this time, before revealing that he had a faction “on retainer” during his Casino Ladder Match win at AEW All Out. He then introduced The Firm, led by none other than Stokely Hathaway.
Hathaway said that the group, which consists of W. Morrisey, Lee Moriarty, the Gunn Club, and Ethan Page, was simply together due to MJF’s need for backup, and that they will continue to help MJF while gaining more opportunity for themselves, as once MJF no longer needs them, they’ll go their separate ways. Hathaway then said that he wasn’t a publicist, a manager, or an assistant, but a friend who can make things possible.
He said that everything he’s done so far in his career at AEW has been to infiltrate the company to gain information, before saying that he loves W. Morrissey. He says it’s time for Lee Moriarty to become a star and bring some honor back to the ROH Pure Championship.
As for the Gunns, he says they’re men, and they don’t want to stand in their father’s shadow anymore. He then turns his attention to Ethan Page and says he’s his “main main.” He looks back on their history together and says Page wants to represent Canada and win the All-Atlantic Championship. Hathaway says when The Firm is around, either run with them or run from them.
