HOOK Teases Tag Team Match With Action Bronson, Discusses Their Friendship

HOOK says he and Action Bronson are aiming to get revenge on Matt Menard and Angelo Parker.

HOOK and Bronson have been connected since “The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil” started using Bronson’s song “The Chairman’s Intent” as his theme. At the Zero Show pre-show ahead of AEW All Out, Bronson made the save when Menard and Parker attacked the FTW Champion following his match with “Cool Hand Ang”.

In an interview with Josh Martinez of Z100, HOOK discussed his bond with Bronson, noting that they have known each other for several years. As for Bronson saving him at All Out, he teased that they want to get even with Menard and Parker.

“Me and Action, we’ve been acquaintances since I was in like middle school, HOOK said. “We’ve been acquaintances for a long time, and then once I was training to become a wrestler, we hopped in the ring, we rolled around a bit together, and this was before I had debuted. He gave me clearance any of his music, which, as a lifelong fan of his, was incredible. So I put into that, I went with ‘The Chairman’s Intent.’

“Then just a couple weeks ago at All Out, I after my match, I was jumped my ‘Daddy Magic’ after winning against ‘Cool Hand Ang’, defending my FTW Title. They jumped me, and Action came in, and he was an equalizer. He had my back, and I think we’re looking to even things out with them.”

When asked why he chose ‘The Chairman’s Intent’, the FTW Champion stated that he put a lot of thought into the choice, and it felt like the right decision.

“I definitely always liked that song,” HOOK said. “But there’s a lot of things to consider when selecting a theme song. So I put a lot of thought into that. I’m a big fan of all of Action’s music. So it was overwhelming at first almost, trying to figure out which one to go with. But all things considered, I just knew that was the one.”
