Athena will fill in for Hikaru Shida on the September 14 episode of AEW Dynamite.
On the September 13 edition of AEW Dark, Hikaru Shida was found in the aftermath of an apparent attack. She was scheduled to team up with Toni Storm and take on Britt Baker and Serena Deeb on Wednesday. As a result, the AEW Interim Women’s World Champion needed a replacement, and Athena answered the call.

Athena unsuccessfully challenged Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship at AEW All Out.
