Jon Moxley postponed a vacation to help AEW in its time of need.

Jon Moxley lost the AEW World Championship to CM Punk at AEW All Out 2022. After the event, there was a backstage altercation between CM Punk and members of The Elite leading to the World Championship once again being vacated.

Later that week in the opening segment of Dynamite Jon Moxley confronted Maxwell Jacob Friedman and let the fans know that he was supposed to be on vacation but an opportunity to once again become AEW Champion has postponed those plans for him. After that, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Moxley was indeed meant to be taking time off.

Now, Robert Anthony, during an appearance on the Tyrus and Timpf podcast, said that Moxley was supposed to take at least six weeks off and they were supposed to be going fishing together.

“So he’s [Jon Moxley] doing good. Man, he’s supposed to be on vacation, six weeks. We were gonna go fishing. Now he’s back to work, he’s not too happy about it but…

“I enjoyed his match at the pay-per-view but, he’s pissed off and he’s back at work and he cut a hell of a promo on Wednesday and we’ll see where it goes, you know what I mean? It’s just a lot of negatives in the positives over there I feel like.”

Jon Moxley is now two victories away from becoming the first-ever 3-time AEW World Champion in history.
