KENTA has had a lot of ups and downs in his professional wrestling career but reveals one of his worst experiences came during his time with WWE.
The New Japan Pro-Wrestling star took to social media recently to reveal that not being allowed to use the Go To Sleep in WWE was one of his worst experiences in the wrestling business, tweeting out:
“Let the world know. One of my worst experience in this business is that I was not allowed to use MY finishing move for 4 years. A move which I created on my own. WHAT A LIFE,” KENTA said in a tweet.
KENTA is referring to his time as Hideo Itami when he worked for WWE from 2014 to 2019 across NXT to the main roster. While he hit the GTS on both NXT and the main roster, after injuring Brian Kendrick with the move on an episode of WWE RAW in 2017, he was reportedly banned from using the move again going forward.
Now that he’s back with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, KENTA is allowed to use the finishing move he created again, and he seems to be a lot happier for it.
