Nick Wayne is 17 years old, so his AEW contract hasn’t taken effect yet. Once it does, he wants to spend as much time there as possible and do everything.
Darby Allin previously gave Wayne an AEW contract at a DEFY Wrestling show in February. The deal won’t kick in until Wayne turns 18, so he continues to compete throughout the wrestling world while he finishes high school.
Speaking on the All Real Wrestling Podcast, Wayne discussed his goals in AEW and stated that he wants to do everything he can. He noted that he wants to win gold and face the company’s top stars.
“AEW, since that’s where I’m headed to once I’m 18, I would love to spend as much time as I can there,” Wayne said. “I’d love to do everything there is to do in AEW, whether that be their world title, their TNT Title, their tag team title, I wanna do everything. I wanna wrestle their top guys, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, I wanna do everything there is to possibly do in AEW.”
Wayne also made it clear that he wants to give back to the business, especially once he’s older, by helping the next generation.
“Also, a very big one that I’ve been doing these past few months but I think it will definitely mean a lot more when I’m older is give back to pro wrestling and give back to the younger guys in this business,” Wayne said. “I really wanna just influence the younger guys while I can.
“I know I’m kind of at the very youngest right now, being 17, but once I’m older and in my 20s and 30s, I would just love if I could to maybe coach or teach or just be able to influence the younger generation of wrestling and really give back. What people now are doing with me, I would love to give back to the newer generation coming.”
