Ken Anderson Jokingly Blames Hornswoggle For The Downfall Of His WWE Career

Ken Anderson almost reached superstardom in WWE on multiple occasions but every time things didn’t work out, Hornswoggle was somehow involved.

Former WWE Superstar Ken Anderson recently sat down with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about the injury that cost him his Money in the Bank briefcase, Anderson revealed that Hornswoggle had to take him to the ER to get looked at after he thought he tore his tricep.

“It is what it is; I can’t change things that happened in the past,” Ken Anderson said. “Yeah, it was kind of crazy hearing the whole story of how it played out. I felt something pop in my triceps. My arm swelled up; my arm turned black and blue. Hornswoggle drove me to the hospital that night. I went to the emergency room they did an MRI, which I hate, I’m claustrophobic, and those things suck. You’re in tight. So I did the MRI, and then I’m waiting in my hotel room. Stephanie called me and said, ‘You tore your triceps off the bone.'”

It then dawned on Anderson later in the conversation that Hornswoggle might have been the reason for the downfall of his entire WWE career.

“I think looking back on it; Hornswoggle had something to do with it,” Ken Anderson said. “I’m kidding! [But] considering he ended up — I was supposed to be Vince’s son, right? Then he got that spot like I think it just dawned on me now he was there with me. He did something to those medical reports.”

Clearly, Anderson was just kidding, but it’s amusing when you think about the circumstances and how everything went down; he kind of has a point.

In regards to losing the Money In The Bank briefcase to Edge, Anderson says he probably should have fought harder to keep the case even while injured.

“Looking back on it, I see the same thing. Even at the time, I was like ‘Ahh, this makes me look stupid.’ I have a year to cash this thing in. Even if I was gone for nine months, I could take the time off, get well and come back. I remember thinking that there’s got to be a different way to get the title off of The Undertaker, right? Like what if [they couldn’t use] Money In The Bank, you’d figure something out. I didn’t want to argue and I wasn’t going to be one of those guys that argues and complained about creative,” he explained, “so I just thought this is what they’ve got and this is what they’ve come up with. I did my job and yeah. In hindsight, I probably should have fought a little harder for it.”
