Pat McAfee Joining ESPN College GameDay Full-Time

Pat McAfee is returning to the football world.

The New York Post reports that McAfee is joining ESPN’s “College GameDay”, starting on Saturday, September 10, when Alabama will face Texas. McAfee has previously appeared on the show, but now he will be a full-time member of he team.

Following the move, McAfee will keep hosting his “Pat McAfee Show” and working as part of the commentary team for WWE Friday Night SmackDown. As part of this new schedule, McAfee will presumably have to fly from SmackDown tapings on Fridays to the site of “College GameDay” on Saturdays.

McAfee commented on the news in a tweet, noting that he’s a long-time fan of the show, and he talked to WWE about joining the team. He stated that he will discuss the move on the September 7 edition of “The Pat McAfee Show”.

McAfee recently signed a new contract with WWE.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
