Finn Balor On Potential Match With Edge: That’s Something I’m ‘Dying’ For

Finn Balor wants to face Edge.

The former WWE United States Champion has been feuding with the WWE Hall of Famer since he kicked the legend out of own group, The Judgment Day. In their most recent encounter, Edge and Rey Mysterio defeated Balor and Damian Priest at WWE Clash at the Castle, but it’s safe to assume that their feud isn’t over.

Speaking with Alex McCarthy for Inside The Ropes before the premium live event, Balor was asked about a potential showdown with “The Rated-R Superstar” and responded by expressing his excitement.

“Oh, I hope so. I hope so,” Balor said. “From a personal standpoint, when Edge retired, I was disappointed at the fact that that match would never happen. When he returned, you know, Royal Rumble a couple years ago, that spark was kinda reignited. I think tomorrow’s the first time we’ve actually been in the ring together, I’m not sure. But we’ve had a couple interactions and run-ins and stuff like that, but yeah, hopefully we can get that singles match with Edge. That’s something that I’m dying for.”

He also commented on his current run with The Judgment Day, noting that the stable is quite different from his previous faction, Bullet Club. He made it clear that he’s having fun and feeling creatively fulfilled.

“I feel like this Judgment Day is something so far removed from Bullet Club that it’s very refreshing, for me especially, and not having to kind of try and recreate what I’ve done years and years ago,” Balor said. “I’m more creatively fulfilled now than I have been in a long time in WWE, and it feels good just kinda going out there and expressing yourself a little bit more freely as a heel. The reigns are off a little bit, and I’m enjoying it again.”
