Ludwig Kaiser: Using The Term ‘Wrestling’ Is Important, But Our Performance Is The Same Regardless

To Ludwig Kaiser, using the term “wrestling” is important, but no matter what you call it, he aims to deliver in the ring regardless.

Fans have been buzzing about the way WWE has been using “wrestling” more lately, especially since Triple H became the head of creative. On September 1, WWE simply tweeted “wrestling” and sparked plenty of conversation.

In an interview with Gorilla Position, Kaiser was asked about the usage of the term and whether it was important to him as a professional wrestler. He responded by agreeing that it was, and he referenced the way he, Fabian Aichner, and Gunther (the former WALTER) have emphasized their goal to restore honor to the sport. However, he made it clear that regardless of what one calls it, their performance in the ring remains the same.

“Especially to us, I wanna say,” said Kaiser. “That’s what we’ve been preaching for the last, I wanna say 10-plus years, right, so it’s very important to us. We always talked about restoring the honor of the sport, and especially like, emphasis on sport because that’s how we look at it, and the term wrestling is definitely a big part of that. At the end of the day, though, it doesn’t really matter what you call it because at the end of the day, if you look at our performance in the ring, it’s always gonna be the same no matter what you call it.”
