Kyle O’Reilly Indicates He Recently Had Neck Surgery

It certainly sounds like we won’t be seeing Kyle O’Reilly step back into the ring again anytime soon.

All Elite Wrestling‘s Kyle O’Reilly recently posted on his Instagram stories (h/t to Jeremy Lambert/Fightful) a series of pictures that indicate he recently underwent neck surgery.

O’Reilly posted a photo of a Surge soda can and wrote “Neck” above the label. He followed up with a photo of himself in a hospital bed, set to the tune of “Alive” by Pearl Jam, and concluded with a photo of a Ford Fusion car. The word “Ford” was covered up with the word “Neck.”

Kyle O’Reilly hasn’t wrestled since the June 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he lost to Jon Moxley in a contenders match for the right to compete for the AEW Interim World Championship at Forbidden Door.

O’Reilly last appeared on the August 3 episode of Dynamite, where The Undisputed Elite turned on The Young Bucks and kicked them out of the faction. Before they could do any serious damage, Matt and Nick Jackson were saved by Hangman Adam Page.
