Will Ospreay Finishes Up With AEW, He’s Even With Kenny Omega ‘For Now’

Will Ospreay is done with AEW, for now.

This week’s AEW Dynamite marked Will Ospreay’s last appearance in All Elite Wrestling for the foreseeable future. There, Ospreay teamed with Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis, collectively known as United Empire. The team would go on to compete against The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega (The Elite) in the semi-finals of the Trios Championship Tournament. After much anticipation from fans, Omega and Ospreay opened the bout to the roar of the crowd.

The Elite would capture the victory after Omega landed a One Winged Angel on Fletcher, effectively ending United Empire’s hopes for gold. Following this loss on Dynamite, Will Ospreay took to Twitter to officially announce his status with the company. In addition, after a history of tension on and off-screen, Ospreay declared “even for now” with Kenny Omega.

“For the foreseeable future my time with AEW is done thanks to Tony Khan for having your own mind and not listening to @KennyOmegamanX attempts at blocking me from coming to do a few matches for ya,” Ospreay wrote. “We are even for now Ken, keep your mouth shut & we won’t have any issues.”

Will Ospreay made his way through the forbidden door earlier this summer. On June 8th, Will appeared in the build-up to All Elite Wrestling’s inaugural Forbidden Door pay-per-view. He first arrived alongside Aaron Henare, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis to deliverer an attack on FTR and Trent Barretta. Since his debut, Ospreay has gone on to deliver impressive performances. However, last night will be his last for a while.
