AJ Styles Doesn’t Feel Bad That Dexter Lumis Kidnapped The Miz

During last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, The Miz was “kidnapped” by Dexter Lumis, something that WWE superstar AJ Styles said he didn’t feel bad about at all.

During a recent appearance on WWE’s The Bump, Styles was asked about Lumis’ attack on The Miz, and asked if he felt bad about what happened to him on Monday night. According to Styles, that’s “the last thing” he feels about that moment.

“That’s the last thing that I feel for The Miz, is bad,” Styles said with a laugh. “I think anybody who knows The Miz is like, ‘Oh, actually, I like that.’ So if anybody was to be kidnapped, let be The Miz. That’s great, I love it.”

What Dexter Lumis has planned for the rest of the WWE roster is anyone’s guess, but if his plans are to continue harassing The Miz, it seems like that’s more than good enough for Styles.

Dexter Lumis first worked for WWE from February 2019 until he was released in April 2022. Prior to his return to WWE last month, Dexter Lumis (Samuel Shaw) was a guest on the House of Hardcore podcast with Tommy Dreamer. When asked about his time in NXT, Lumis reflected upon the three-year journey there and how much that place did for his career.

“Three plus years at that place really did so much for me,” Shaw said. “And it’s afforded me the luxury of being able to go out to a Spokane Washington and get a nice payday and be received by those fans. Like I was something special, like they remember those moments and the way I presented my character. I can’t tell you how many people just came up and we’re like, your stuff was just so different and your approach and you’re always staying in character and this and that. That means so much to me that I was able to do that and give that reaction to the fans.”

Shaw also picked his favorite moment from his first run and commented on Triple H believing in him. Read more about how much Triple H’s endorsement meant to him here.
