Buff Bagwell is in rehab to deal with an addiction problem.
Diamond Dallas Page made the announcement that Marcus “Buff” Bagwell is currently in rehab to treat addiction. DDP did not go into specific detail about what Bagwell entered treatment for, but explained how they arrived at the decision to seek treatment.
During a video update on his YouTube channel, DDP explained that Buff had been working with him on a documentary called “Change Or Die.” He explained that Buff was heavier, but he didn’t have a weight loss problem. Buff had an addiction and he was able to mask it and although he was doing well overall, he had some ups and downs. DDP said part of the problem was in some of the company Bagwell kept, and some of those people had a negative effect on him.
“People who love him and enable him. He’s had a relapse, so we had a meeting with all of my people and Marcus. And we all agreed that it was time for him to go to a rehab facility. It’s going to be hard. I know because I’ve dealt with this before and I swear I’m never doing it again and again, but we’ve been together for 30 years, me and this cat,” DDP said. “I really want to see him get to the other side.
“Now, we don’t know how long Marcus is going to be at the rehab facility,” DDP noted, “but he’s in a really positive mindset, the best I’ve ever heard him. He’s really taking what we were teaching him and applying it there and he’s actually enjoying it right now.”
DDP explained that one reason he’s doing the video is that Bagwell will have several appearances that need to be cancelled, and they will resume once he’s home. In the meantime, Bagwell needs to take care of himself. DDP closed by saying addiction is a tough place to be and he hopes that people will continue to support Bagwell.
