Former WWE superstar and NXT North American Champion Velveteen Dream (whose real name is Patrick Clark) was arrested twice last week in Florida.
While not too many details are known as of yet, Orange County, Florida records indicate that Clark was arrested on Friday, August 26, 2022, on an out-of-county warrant for “possession of drug paraphernalia.” It’s currently unclear if Clark is still incarcerated or has been released, but more information is likely to come in the following days.
Update: Court records also show that, on August 20, Clark was arrested on battery and trespassing charges, both of which are first-degree misdemeanors. He bonded out and pled not guilty.
The Orange County Corrections Department told TMZ that the latest arrest (Aug. 26) was on an “out-of-county warrant for a violation of probation” by the Orlando Police Department. The charge is related to a previous drug case against Clark in Seminole County in Florida. Clark is currently being held without bond and is expected to be transferred to Seminole County soon.
The news of Clark’s arrest comes just days after the superstar returned to social media for the first time in a few years, sharing a new look at some of his costumes and trying to kickstart a movement to re-join WWE following his release in 2021. During his time WWE, Clark wrestled throughout NXT, and became a fan favorite as the Velveteen Dream, becoming the NXT North Champion in the process.
However, in 2020, two accusations were made against him during the Speaking Out movement, one of which was with pro wrestler Josh Fuller, while the other involved a 17-year-old whom Clark claimed he was giving wrestling advice to. At the time, then-WWE COO Triple H said that the company looked into the accusations and found nothing from it.
