On August 26, WWE taped the September 2 episode of WWE SmackDown alongside the live taping of Friday’s show.
The spoilers, courtesy of Antonio K. of Detroit, are as follows:
- Karrion Kross beat Drew Gulak in a squash match
- Ronda Rousey went to the ring and had a letter in her hand. Adam Pearce came out and she makes him read the letter, which states that the WWE Board of Directors deemed her arrest unnecessary, so she is no longer suspended. Pearce goes off on her and calls her a bitch. She threatened him, and he regretted saying it, but Rousey put him in an arm submission.
- Hit Row defeated Maximum Male Models
- Los Lotharios come out and try distracting Hit Row. Hit Row approach Los Lotharios, but MMM attack them from behind. The Street Profits come out to even the score and throw heels out the ring.
- Butch defeats Ludwig Kaiser. Gunther got in the ring, and he and Sheamus teased a faceoff, but Ludwig convinced Gunther to leave.
- Viking Rules Match: Viking Raiders defeated the New Day in a Viking Rules match.
- Roman Reigns’ two-year championship celebration: Roman Reigns was shown in the back, coming out of a car. Drew McIntyre attacked him from behind and went to the ring to beat up Sami Zayn and The Usos. McIntyre threatened Reigns and vowed to win the titles at WWE Clash at the Castle.
