InDex (Dexter Lumis and Indi Hartwell) reunited at last, but it was a short-lived moment of bliss.
Indi Hartwell came up short in singles competition against Blair Davenport on the August 23 edition of WWE NXT 2.0. Soon after the bout, Hartwell grabbed a microphone and spoke briefly before she received the ultimate surprise.
Dexter Lumis appeared from behind to reunite with his kayfabe wife. The two embraced and shared a kiss for the first time since April. Unfortunately for the lovers, Lumis would later give Indi a goodbye letter before he disappeared into the night where police awaited him outside the arena. In the letter, Lumis said “Goodbye for now” and told Hartwell that he loved her.

Dexter Lumis was released from WWE earlier this year on April 29, but was brought back to the company on August 3 after Triple H took over WWE creative. Lumis has made background appearances on the last three episodes of WWE RAW as he’s targeted The Miz and AJ Styles. He abducted The Miz on the August 22 episode of RAW, which is probably why the authorities were looking for him.
