Laredo Kid Open To A Hair vs. Mask Match Against Current Bullet Club Member

Laredo Kid says fans might not always understand the magnitude of a Luchas de Apuestas match but the importance of that stipulation is never lost on him.

Laredo Kid recently spoke with WrestleZone about IMPACT Wrestling featuring more luchadores, and he was asked if there was interest in bringing the Luchas de Apuestas stipulation to the company. Laredo Kid has competed in the match three times, winning each one, but the last one took place in 2015. Laredo Kid said he’s open to the match and stressed the significance of a luchador competing in the match.

“Yeah, of course. I think that some people sometimes don’t love too much those kinds of matches. But this for us, for the luchadores, these are the most important matches we have in our career,” he explained. “When you have mask versus mask, it’s a great, great match and it’s like the most important thing in your career. We have good matches, important matches like for the belt, a tournament, everything but the most dangerous or most important for you wrester for one luchador is the mask versus mask, mask versus hair.”

Asked if there was anyone in particular he’d like to face off with in a hair vs. mask match, Laredo Kid picked Bullet Club and IMPACT Wrestling’s Chris Bey and said that fans might want to see him get his head shaved bald.

“Right now, it’s hard [to pick just one because] we have a lot of good wrestlers there. Maybe Chris Bey because they have Bullet Club and everything. Maybe they support Chris Bey for some match. Hair versus mask, and maybe I can do with all my luchadores [backing me up], but the Bullet Club and Chris Bey hair versus mask, and maybe the people want to see Chris Bey bald.”
