Matt Cardona is back.
The National Wrestling Alliance confirmed Matt Cardona will make his in-ring return at NWA 74 later this month. Cardona will compete on night one of the two-night event on August 27, and he will hand-pick the opponent for his return match.
“Matt Cardona returns to in-ring action at #NWA74! In an earlier than expected return to action, @TheMattCardona will be on hand to compete against a mystery handpicked opponent,” the NWA wrote. “Don’t miss the 74th anniversary celebration of NWA!”
Cardona replied:
I’M BACK!
I will make my return to the ring at #NWA74 on August 27.

Cardona has been sidelined with a torn bicep, an injury he suffered during a match against Blake Christian at GCW Cage Of Survival on June 5. Despite being unable to compete, Cardona has continued to make non-wrestling appearances, including at Ric Flair’s Last Match on July 31. Cardona is also set to renew his wedding vows to Chelsea Green at GCW Homecoming this month, and he’s also scheduled to compete in the Wrestling Showcase tournament against Tatanka on September 3.
