Stephanie McMahon touts the 2022 SummerSlam event as “the most-watched SummerSlam of all time.”

Following the success of SummerSlam 2022, her first event as WWE Chairwoman and Co-CEO, Stephanie McMahon touted the success of SummerSlam internally. Noting in a memo recapping the week of events that during the week, WWE surpassed 90 million subscribers and 70 billion lifetime views on YouTube.

The company also surpassed 18 million followers on TikTok. The memo also touts the partnership with Epic Games and the added content to games such as Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys.

This past weekend SummerSlam emanated live on Peacock from Nashville’s Nissan Stadium in front of a crowd of 48,449 and became the most-watched SummerSlam in company history.

During the week we surpassed 90M subscribers and 70B lifetime video views on YouTube, and 18M followers on TikTok. We were also proud to be the first brand that Epic Games rolled out across three games simultaneously: Fall Guys, Rocket League and Fortnite, timed to coincide with our Premium Live Event.

Without all of the WWE Superstars who poured their hearts out inside the ring, our incredible crews and teams behind the scenes, the WWE Universe, and our incredible partners and friends, none of the successes of this past weekend would have been possible.

  • This year’s SummerSlam inside Nashville’s Nissan Stadium saw +40% gross revenue vs. 2021 and +180/0 global viewers vs. 2021, making it the most-watched SummerSlam of all time.
  • During SummerSlam weekend, WWE social channels hit major milestones with WWE’s YouTube channel surpassing 90 million subscribers, WWE’s TikTok channel surpassing 18 million followers, and the clip of Brock Lesnar driving a tractor and flipping up the SummerSlam ring with Roman Reigns inside surpassed 20 million views across all social platforms within 48 hours.
  • Stars from music, entertainment, gaming, and sports joined WWE for the Biggest Party of the Summer, including Kid Rock, NBA star Dwight Howard, model Nina Agdal, Netflix’s Cheer Gabi Butler, WWE NIL’s Hanna 6 Haley Cavinder, WWE Hall of Famer Kane, Logan Paul, Impaulsive co-hosts Mike Majlak & George Janko, and the entire Tennessee Titans NFL team.
  • WWE Superstars made their presence felt with a number of national media appearances leading up to SummerSlam, including TODAY, Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, and NFL Network’s Good Morning Football.
  • WWE held a three-day tryout presented by Pure Life for 50 current and recently graduated college athletes and special guest NBA’s Dwight Howard inside Wildhorse Saloon and, for the first time ever, members of the WWE Universe were able to buy tickets to take in the experience. At the end of the process,14 new hires were signed to WWE contracts.
  • WWE proudly hosted a weeklong celebration in the community of Nashville in partnership with Boys B Girls Clubs of America, Seacrest Studios, Special Olympics, and Make-A-Wish. During the SummerSlam Kick-Off show, WWE and Pure Life honored three grassroots non-profit organizations that are supporting the people of Nashville. Each organization received S2OK to help them advance their respective missions.
