Logan Paul sees big things for the future of WWE.
During a recent episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Logan Paul spoke about how he views his experience with WWE so far. Paul noted that he’s an outsider but he believes he has a vision to hook people on WWE that normally wouldn’t watch.
“We don’t come from inside out, inside the WWE Universe and out. We came from outside in, and now that we’re in and I’m in, we’re all invested. While I 100% agree that the story is the thread, the spine of this organization and operation, I am also a disruptor. I like those big viral moments, I like those hooks that grab the globe’s attention. I think if there was a way to tastefully — I don’t want to go too shock and awe, too like decapitate, show the guts and everything — if there’s a way to create those moments to hook people who aren’t normally invested in the WWE and then get them invested with the rich nature of the stories,” Paul explained, “I think that’s where you guys are gonna crush it.
“Honestly, that’s where I would like to help out as well. I don’t come from this world. I come from mainstream,” Paul noted, “like how do I make you care with a f-ckin’ six-second Vine and then now attach you to my decade-long almost career that people are still watching. I think if there’s a way to weave those two worlds, WWE is a universe, let’s make this sh-t a multiverse.”
Triple H, his guest on the episode, said he agreed with Paul’s approach and commended him for seeing a way to connect with people.
“Yeah, look, couldn’t agree with you more. I think just saying that is genius, right. To me, that’s where it’s at. You inherently get this. It’s why you’re where you are,” Triple H said. “You inherently get the vibe of today’s kids and young adults and what they’re looking for and all that.”
Later in show, Paul spoke about being thankful that WWE has instilled so much trust in him so far, and Triple H said that Paul’s drive and determination is envigorating.
“I love working with you because of what I said earlier, your passion for this. When I looked over from Gorilla the night you were gonna go out there and I said the stuff to you, I could see it in your eyes as you were staring at the ground getting yourself into it. I could feel it coming out of you. I was like, ‘this dude is one of us. He’s passionate about this. This is in his soul right now.’ That’s why I went over to talk to you. When somebody has that level of passion,” Triple H noted, “I can’t help but wanna go over there and work with them. If there’s some way I can assist them to get it even more and become even bigger, I’m all over it. So for me, thank you for the passion for it because not everybody has been it. Some people come in here differently, and you have it.
“Thank you for having it, and I look forward to, we’re gonna take WWE to places to it’s never been, and how we’re gonna partially do that is by working with people like you that can help us get to places that we haven’t even thought of yet, and vice versa. For you, hopefully we make you even bigger than you ever thought you could possibly be. That’s the goal in all of us. I don’t think there’s anything as a brand, as a product, when people ask us where we see this going, we’re Disney,” Triple H added. “We’re gonna be bigger, long-term, you talked about the multiverse, it’s like all those things that are there for us, in front of us, the exponential growth and where we can go and where we can take this, and the desire to, no one’s gonna stop us.”
