WWE SmackDown viewership dipped on July 29.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 2.19 million viewers watched the show, which is down from last week, when 2.25 million viewers watched SmackDown. In the 18 to 49 demographic, SmackDown scored a 0.52 rating, which is up from last week (0.62).
Per Showbuzz Daily, SmackDown ranked #1 in the demographic on Friday.

This week’s episode kicked off with Drew McIntyre defeating Sheamus to be declared the number one contender for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle. The show closed with Paul Heyman cutting a promo in the ring regarding the main event of SummerSlam. It was interrupted by Brock Lesnar and Theory, with the latter receiving quite the beatdown from The Beast Incarnate to end the show.
