Logan Paul Gives Himself A Shout-Out For Stepping Up To The Plate At WWE SummerSlam

Logan Paul says he has been thrown into the deep end with WWE, and he has stepped up to the high-pressure situation.

Paul made his in-ring debut in a tag team match at WrestleMania 38, and he later signed with the company. At WWE SummerSlam, he competed in his first singles match and defeated The Miz.

In a WWE Digital Exclusive after the bout, Paul described how diving into the world of sports entertainment has been “insane”, but he delivered.

“I’m exhausted,” said Paul. “I gotta be honest, this sport is insane. This is one of the craziest things I’ve ever done. I cannot believe how quickly I’ve just been thrown in at the highest level and expected to perform. But at the end of the day, that’s what I do. I put Miz in his place. I told him exactly what I was gonna do, and I did it. He underestimated me, respect is due. But I beat my mentor.”

Paul then gave himself a shout-out for stepping up before he also credited his manager and everyone at WWE for believing in him. He also shared his plan to party and celebrate his victory.

“I wanna give a shout-out to myself for stepping up to the plate and to my manager, Jeff, for believing in me, everyone at WWE, they trusted me and I trusted that,” said Paul. “They put their faith in me. I’m gonna go party with my friends, throw a couple back, maybe have some [censored], we’ll see where the night leads.:

The social media star was asked about his frog splash through the broadcast table during his match with The Miz, and he made it clear that he used to dream of moments like that.

“Oh man, you dream about, as a kid, that’s the stuff I emulated growing up, right,” said Paul. “I would stand on the ends of the couch and jump off and bodyslam my friend, and I got to do it now in real life in Nashville with 50,000 people watching. Man, it’s a moment. It’s a moment I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Hopefully it’s a moment that the people watching will remember for the rest of their life.”
