WWE SummerSlam: Pat McAfee vs. Happy Corbin Result

Pat McAfee once again showed his resilience and abilities in the wrestling ring during tonight’s SummerSlam event, taking down Happy Corbin thanks to some late tricks.

In a bit of a callback to Corbin’s constant assaults on McAfee, it came down to McAfee and Corbin ending in a chaotic fashion. Late in the match, Corbin inadvertently collided with the referee, dropping him down and knocking him out. With Corbin looking on in shock, McAfee quickly kicked him in the groin from behind, dropping Corbin and allowing McAfee to hit an incredible sunset flip for the win.

For a recap of how the match ended, check out below courtesy of our live, play-by-play coverage:

A men’s choir sings “Bum Ass Corbin” during Corbin’s entrance and proceeds to sing McAfee to the ring. The bell rings, and the broadcaster takes the fight to his foe. He superkicks him and maintains the advantage. McAfee does a flip off the top rope and poses. The taunt costs him as Corbin levels him. The former King of the Ring takes control and slams Corbin into the barricade. Back in the ring, Corbin continues to dominate. He hits a Deep Six and throws McAfee onto the broadcast table. Corbin shoves Cole when the latter says his parents would be ashamed of him. McAfee leaps up to the top and drops Corbin with a superplex.  He dodges a charging Corbin, sending him shoulder-first into the ring post. The broadcaster climbs to the top rope and dives onto Corbin. He dives off the top, but Corbin dodges him. Corbin goes for the Deep Six, but McAfee escapes. Corbin accidentally collides with the referee, and with the official down, McAfee kicks him below the belt and hits a sunset flip/destroyer-like maneuver for the win.

Winner: Pat McAfee
