Linda McMahon Declines To Comment On Circumstances Surrounding Vince McMahon’s Retirement

Linda McMahon opted not to comment on the circumstances surrounding Vince McMahon‘s retirement.

Together, the duo helped build Titan Sports, and by extension WWE, into the powerhouse that it is today. Linda was the CEO of Titan Sports until 2009. In recent years, she has been focused on a number of political responsibilities; she served as the 25th administrator of the Small Business Administration.

Vince McMahon shocked the wrestling world when he announced his retirement on July 22. Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were subsequently named as co-Chief Executive Officers, and Triple H was announced as the new head of creative on July 25.

At an event for the America First Policy Institute, Linda McMahon was asked about Mr. McMahon’s retirement, to which she said, “I’m not going to talk about Vince and WWE, I’m here to talk about AFPI.” When pressed on the matter, she noted that the change might be beneficial.

“Well, you know what, he’ll just be deciding on how he wants to spend his free time, I think that’s a good thing,” said Linda.

When asked whether she was concerned about the investigation of alleged sexual misconduct and hush money against Vince, Linda simply stated that she was there to talk about the AFPI.

Triple H recently commented on his approach to being in charge of creative in the aftermath of Vince McMahon’s retirement. His comments are available here.
