WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is happily engaged to Artem Chigvintsev and even has a baby with him.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Bella was asked to reflect on ending her relationship with WWE legend John Cena. Nikki said, “Sometimes we meet amazing people, but we’re just meant to live a different life. I just got this feeling so deep in my gut of, like, ‘I need to walk away.’ And no one thought I would, but it was hitting me so hard. Even though it’s painful and even traumatizing, I just knew it was right.”
Bella knew that the pair wanted to live different lifestyles and that neither was willing to make the necessary sacrifices to remain together. Nikki said “You almost wish it was bad, because it’s so much easier to walk away. It’s so much harder to walk away when it’s loving.”
Cena reached out to both Bella twins when they delivered their babies. Nikki said, “He reached out to Brie and I both. We haven’t had an individual conversation in, gosh, I don’t know how long, but it was very short and sweet.”
Speaking about her current relationship with Dancing with the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev, Bella said “I know how God is good — and believing your gut and intuition and following through, good things happen. We are just trying to figure out this whole family thing. Praying that we can get Artem’s family, hopefully, to America soon. That is our goal.”
