The Briscoes are in Ring of Honor to stay.
During a media call ahead of ROH Death Before Dishonor, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful asked Khan if there are any talents who are signed to full-time deals with ROH that the public doesn’t know about, and he named The Briscoes. He stated that the duo have signed exclusive long-term deals with the company.
“The Briscoes,” said Khan. “The Briscoes is a great example. The Briscoes are under contract with Ring of Honor and a long-term contract, and I think there are some other developmental wrestlers, but really probably the biggest names that are exclusively signed to Ring of Honor are The Briscoes, and they are some of the biggest names in Ring of Honor history. They are Hall of Famers. And there are some others but I think that would be a good example of a key act where they haven’t really appeared in AEW but they are signed to Ring of Honor.”
The Briscoes are 12-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, and they were inducted into the ROH Hall of Fame earlier this year. They have been with the company since the beginning of the promotion in 2022. In recent months, Mark and Jay have been competing for various promotions. They had a brief run in IMPACT Wrestling, and they won the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship. Mark and Jay also won the NWA Crockett Cup earlier this year.
They will challenge FTR for the ROH World Tag Team Championship in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match at ROH Death Before Dishonor on July 23.
