Andrade El Idolo has been sidelined with an injury.
In a tweet on July 15, AEW president Tony Khan responded to a fan who wondered why Andrade El Idolo hasn’t appeared on television in recent weeks. Khan that El Idolo has been hurt since he faced Rey Fenix on the June 24 episode of AEW Rampage. He also stated that Andrade will be at ringside for the match between Private Party and the Lucha Brothers on the July 15 episode of AEW Rampage. The Lucha Brothers have been feuding with Andrade and RUSH recently.

It’s unclear how exactly Andrade is hurt.
Update: In a tweet, Andrade stated that he’ll be back in a week or two, as it’s “nothing serious.” In another tweet, he noted that he’s been dealing with ankle inflammation.
