Josh Alexander is open to a tag team title run with Jordynne Grace.

IMPACT World Champion Josh Alexander spoke with WrestleZone to promote the company’s “Derby City Rumble” tapings in Louisville and was asked about potentially teaming with Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace.

Grace previously said she wanted to win every championship in IMPACT, including the X Division, men’s tag team titles and World Championship. Asked if she’d like to face Alexander during a recent interview with WrestleZone, Grace said that she’d actually be open to teaming with him.

“Josh is absolutely insane. So I’m a little bit scared to wrestle him, to be completely honest with you,” Grace explained, “but he’s definitely one of the best wrestlers in the world and the best wrestler at IMPACT, in my opinion. I mean, honestly, even if I don’t get to wrestle him for the World title, I would love for us to be possibly a tag team together, because collectively we’ve held every belt at IMPACT.”

After sharing her initial response, Alexander said that he would be open to teaming up and said that they have a great relationship.

“Jordynne, honestly, she’s been one of my best friends in IMPACT Wrestling. Probably the best friend I have in the locker room since the day that I started. She’s still the person I go to the gym with every loop,” he noted. “We went to the gym this morning before this media [tour]. We have a great relationship, we have great chemistry, I’m sure it would translate great to the ring. I’m a huge fan of her work. I would love and welcome a tag team run with her, if it were to ever transpire. I think we could do something special, so for her to say that, that’s awesome. Hopefully it can happen now because you got my hopes up.” [laughs]

Grace also said she had plans to get matching gear while teaming with W. Morrissey, but she never got to wear it due to him leaving the company. After noting that she could possibly continue that trend and match Alexander’s singlet or head gear, Josh said he saw a bit more of a ‘Steinerized’ look if the team came to fruition.

“Well, no, she’s going to be the Scott to my Rick,” Alexander added.
