Dustin Rhodes is open to giving back to Ring Of Honor if he was approached to do so.
Dustin Rhodes is a key component of the backstage environment in AEW. Specifically, he works with the women’s division frequently. Ahead of the Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view, Dustin Rhodes spoke with Sports Guys Talking Wrestling about his status with the promotion and interest in seeing where Tony Khan takes Ring Of Honor.
Rhodes said he wasn’t at Supercard Of Honor, but he’s looking forward to seeing what’s in store for ROH. He added that he’s excited for ROH Television Champion Samoa Joe, and Death Before Dishonor will serve as a special moment for him.
“I’m not sure because I wasn’t at the last one. But if Tony needs me to go and coach some of the matches, I would love to. Samoa Joe’s back, we’re gonna see Samoa Joe, which is a big fan favorite. I love him to death. I’ve watched him a long, long time. Anything that he does is always special. So that’s gonna be a special moment for him. Ring of Honor is just kinda getting back, started up, right. We’ve had the one pay-per-view, it did well, and then we have the second one here. I’m interested to see where it goes, where it leads,” Dustin noted, “as far as if it’s ever gonna go weekly basis or TV or what. It’s still kind of, I have no idea what Tony’s planning for that.”
Dustin Rhodes last competed for All Elite Wrestling in the Royal Rampage battle royale match on the June 29 episode of AEW Rampage. Prior to that, his last singles match was a loss to CM Punk in Pittsburgh on April 20. Rhodes has never competed for Ring Of Honor, as the majority of his in-ring career was spent with WCW, WWF/WWE and All Elite Wrestling.
