Add Penelope Ford to the growing list of AEW talent that is currently sidelined.
“The SuperBad Girl” has been largely absent from AEW programming in recent months, as she hasn’t competed since the January 15 set of AEW Dark tapings. Previously, she had been a featured member of the company’s women’s division.
One fan took to Twitter to ask whether AEW President Tony Khan had “given up” on Ford. Khan responded and noted that she’s a great wrestler, but she’s not currently cleared to compete. He made it clear that he’s looking forward to Ford’s return.
Not at all, total opposite in fact; she’s a great wrestler, and I can’t wait until she’s medically cleared to come back. She’s been in some classic @AEW matches, and hopefully she’ll be in many more!#AEWRampage

Khan’s tweet did not specify the reason as to why Ford is not cleared to compete.
WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
