Report: John Cena Expected To Be In Vancouver For ‘Peacemaker’ Filming, Vince McMahon Also Plans To Go

John Cena is set to start making peace again soon, which could limit his ability to defeat villains in a WWE ring later this year.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that, over the next few months, Cena is “expected to be in Vancouver heavily” to film the second season of HBO Max’s Peacemaker series. Ross Sapp noted that the filming isn’t set to begin for a while, but the specific timeframe is unclear. The report also states that, as of last week, Cena was not confirmed for the WWE SummerSlam premium live event.

Ross Sapp also reported that Vince McMahon is scheduled to fly to Vancouver, with the likely reason being “something to do with John Cena”, according to his source. His plans to travel there reportedly changed from this weekend to next, but the reasoning for this shift is unknown.

Cena returned to WWE TV on the June 27 episode of WWE RAW to celebrate his 20th anniversary, and he admitted that he didn’t know when he would wrestle again.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
