The National Wrestling Alliance will use a tournament to determine the next challenger for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
On the July 5 episode of NWA Powerrr, NWA president Billy Corgan announced that the promotion will hold the Race to the Chase tournament leading up to NWA 74. The winner will challenge Trevor Murdoch for the title at the pay-per-view.
The bracket is as follows:
- The Pope vs. Brian Myers
- Thom Latimer vs. Chris Adonis
- Nick Aldis vs. Tim Storm
Storm was previously barred from challenging for the title due to his previous loss to Nick Aldis, but Corgan lifted the ban.
It was left unclear when the tournament will start.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
