Report: Tyson Fury In Talks For WWE Return This Summer

Tyson Fury could be returning to WWE this summer.

According to a new report from GiveMeSport, famed boxer “The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury is currently in talks with WWE about a potential return to the company. If plans come to fruition, Fury could be back in WWE this summer.

Nothing is finalized as of now, but this would line up with WWE’s Clash At The Castle event that is currently scheduled to take place on September 3 in Cardiff, Wales.

It was noted that Tyson Fury’s appearance would need to fit into his existing schedule of other commitments he has in that timeframe, and it’s unknown whether Fury would just appear on the show or actually compete in a match.

Tyson Fury competed at WWE Crown Jewel in 2019, picking up a countout win over Braun Strowman at the pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia. Since then, he’s maintained that a WWE return would happen, and he’s gone back and forth in the media with Drew McIntyre about a potential match with each other.

“Don’t rule me out with fighting there. You might see me at SummerSlam too. I gotta speak to Vince and the boys, maybe make this happen,” Fury said after his huge boxing win against Dillian Whyte in April. “I know Drew McIntyre has been saying a lot of things about me. I’d love to knock him out. I’d love to be at Cardiff. I’d love to be back at center stage in the UK. Especially for the wrestling, I enjoyed it the last time in Saudi Arabia. It was fantastic so to come here and do it would be phenomenal.”

Fury previously confirmed there were pre-pandemic plans for a match in the UK with McIntyre and said he was also supposed to appear at WrestleMania and SummerSlam in 2021.
