Parker Boudreaux made his MLW debut after all.
Thursday night’s MLW Battle Riot event saw an appearance from Parker Boudreaux, aka former NXT 2.0 star Harland. Boudreaux entered the Battle Riot match in the 40th and final spot and eliminated Taya Valkyrie before Killer Kross and IMPACT’s Sami Callihan eliminated Boudreaux from the bout.
Parker Boudreaux’s appearance is notable because it’s not only his first in-ring appearance since being released by WWE, but it also came after MLW’s Court Bauer said he didn’t expect the former NXT star to work for him.
Boudreaux revealed his 30-day non-compete with WWE was up at the end of May, and one fan suggested that he’d be a good fit in MLW. Bauer surprisingly shot down the idea, noting that he doesn’t expect it to happen.
“Don’t expect Parker in MLW. I wish him the best with his future,” Court Bauer said, responding to the fan.
Bauer previously praised Boudreaux, calling him a “beast of an athlete” and a potential big player, so it would appear that Bauer had a change of heart, or the well wishes remark was a misdirect to set up the surprise appearance in New York City.
