Tony Khan Confirms Injuries To Kyle O’Reilly And Bobby Fish

Tony Khan says real-life injuries are keeping Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish from getting their hands on the Dudes With Attitudes at Forbidden Door.

Tony Khan was the guest on the latest episode of AEW Unrestricted, and the AEW President sat down to preview the Forbidden Door card with Tony Schiavone and Aubrey Edwards. Schiavone brought up the Bullet Club versus Dudes With Attitudes match and noted how Sting took out Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish, and Khan revealed that real-life injuries were keeping both competitors sidelined for the time being.

“It’s going to be a great match and now the Young Bucks want some revenge. Adam Cole has said he’s got in members of the Bullet Club to help take out Darby and Sting as revenge for taking out Fish and O’Reilly, his long-time partners. In particular, it’s a big loss with those two. Darby said he was going to take out Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly getting taken out by Sting — Kyle O’Reilly’s been on fire — that’s a real-life, legitimate injury and Kyle O’Reilly is out. Not sure how long he’s out, but it’s a big loss and we were not expecting that. He’d been on fire for the company lately, so it’s a big deal to lose Kyle O’Reilly.

“With Fish and O’Reilly being out, Bobby Fish had a great main event with Darby on Rampage, and that’s another big loss for the company. Bobby Fish, I think we expect back sooner from that ankle injury than Kyle O’Reilly with his injuries. Neither one is available for the pay-per-view in this case. Kyle O’Reilly, I hope we get back soon. Bobby Fish, I know is going to be back soon, but the Bullet Club is looking for revenge.”

O’Reilly appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite in a promo with the Young Bucks and (storyline) said he wanted to sue Sting for attacking him. Khan did not specify what type of injury was keeping him sidelined. He last wrestled on June 8, an Interim AEW World Title tournament match loss to Jon Moxley. Fish’s last match came against Darby Allin on the Road Rager edition of AEW Rampage on June 17.
