Mike Bennett Says ROH Will Always Be Home, But He’s Loyal To IMPACT/NWA Right Now

Mike Bennett says he’d entertain another return to Ring Of Honor in the future, but he’s going to see things out with IMPACT Wrestling and the NWA right now.

During an appearance on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, Mike Bennett spoke about potentially returning to ROH, which is now under the ownership of Tony Khan. Bennett said Ring Of Honor will always be home due to what it did for his career, but he’s a man of his word and appreciates IMPACT and the NWA giving him a shot when Sinclair sold ROH to Khan.

“Ring of Honor is my home. It will always be my home, it gave me my first opportunity. I believe Ring of Honor is the reason why I’ve been able to see whatever success I’ve been able to see. They have me a break, they gave me a chance. Delirious constantly put his neck out for me. He gave me a match with Tanahashi. He constantly did, that place is my home. That place, they were at my wedding. I can’t shake that feeling.”

“But the stuff that IMPACT and Scott D’Amore and Billy Corgan did when that company closed, is they took us all in. They brought us in like a bunch of like land of misfit toys. IMPACT gave us a really good spot. Not only did they bring us in, but they gave us a huge storyline. So I’m also a man of my word, and so I won’t, based on what IMPACT has done for me and based on what NWA has done for me, I’ll always finish my contract with people that are loyal to me and treat me with respect. I’ll always do it. And so the fact that they just kinda were like we’ll bring you in, and let’s figure this out, we’re gonna give you a main storyline. Not only that, but the storyline’s gonna be about actually gripes that you kinda really have, I was like like oh cool. I’ll never ask to get out early. But I do love Ring of Honor, and that’s my home, and it’ll always be my home. So if there’s a chance at some point, hell yeah. I love that place.”
