Becky Lynch and Asuka stepped into the ring tonight hoping to earn a spot in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. In a stunning turn of events, Asuka outlasted The Man to earn a spot in the match.
In a big singles bout between the two, Asuka looked like she was going to be sent home at multiple times in the contest. Late in the match, Lynch attempted to utilize some underhanded tactics, and exposed one of the turnbuckles in the corner before sending Asuka right into it. However, Asuka somehow kicked out, shocking Lynch, before she quickly landed a spinning kick on the superstar for the win.
Following the match, a distraught Lynch could only watch as Asuka celebrated. With the win, Asuka will join Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, and Raquel Rodriguez in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting match.
