WWE SmackDown Viewership Increases On 6/17 With Title Match And Vince McMahon Appearance

WWE SmackDown viewership increased on June 17.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 2.290 million viewers tuned in on Friday, and SmackDown drew a 0.57 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. These numbers are up from last week, when 1.914 million viewers watched the show and SmackDown scored a 0.44 rating in the same demographic. Thurston noted that Friday’s demographic number was SmackDown’s highest since April.

Citing Showbuzz Daily, Thurston noted that SmackDown ranked #1 overall in the key demo on Friday.

This week’s episode kicked off with a brief address from Vince McMahon, just a few hours after he stepped back from his duties as WWE Chairman and CEO. In the main event, Roman Reigns defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Riddle. The show also featured two Money in the Bank qualifying matches.
