Does former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio belong in the WWE Hall of Fame? He certainly seems to think so.
The WWE Hall of Fame certainly has a wide range of inductees over the years. Still, few would be more controversial than Alberto Del Rio. The former world champion certainly has a decorated resume, but he’s also been released from the company on two separate occasions and was been taken to court for sexual assault and kidnapping.
Despite all that, Alberto Del Rio still believes he deserves a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame based on the accomplishments he achieved during his time with the company. The former WWE Superstar took to social media to tweet the following message:
“4 times World Heavyweight Champion. Winner of the biggest battle royal in WWE history. Money in the Bank winner. 2 times WWE United States Champion. I will do my best to raise the Mexican flag once,” Alberto Del Rio tweeted (via Google translate)
Alberto worked for WWE from 2009 through 2014, and again between 2015 and 2016. It’s unclear if we’ll ever see Del Rio inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but he believes his accolades will make him stand out and get him enshrined one day.
