AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 6/15, Ties For Top Spot On Cable

AEW Dynamite viewership drops in a big way on June 15.

According to Showbuzz Daily, 761,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.28 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was down from the June 8 episode, when 939,000 viewers tuned in. The demo decreased from last week‘s episode which also drew a 0.34 rating in the same demographic.

Even with the decrease in viewership and demo, AEW Dynamite tied with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for first place in the demographic among cable originals overall last night. The numbers might have been affected by the NHL Stanley Cup Finals coverage on ABC, which drew a large audience and demo, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This week’s show kicked off with a hair versus hair match between Ortiz and Chris Jericho. Ortiz lost due to interference from Sammy Guevara who was dressed like Fuego Del Sol. The main event saw The Young Bucks defeat Jurassic Express in a ladder match to capture the AEW World Tag Team Titles for the second time. Following the match, Christian Cage turned on Jungle Boy and hit him with the Killswitch to close the show.
