Orange Cassidy is back.
Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite featured Will Ospreay facing off with Dax Harwood of FTR. After Ospreay picked up the win, United Empire attacked Dax, which brought out Cash Wheeler, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero try to make the save. The Empire attacked them as well, but Orange Cassidy came to the ring and stood toe to toe with Ospreay. FTR and Roppongi Vice backed him up, and Ospreay left without incident.
Orange Cassidy had been sidelined with a shoulder injury since March. He last competed in the Face Of The Revolution ladder match at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view. On the following episode of Dynamite, AEW’s commentary team gave an update and said he’d be out for an undetermined amount of time, but he wouldn’t require surgery.
Update: AEW later confirmed Will Ospreay vs. Orange Cassidy would take place at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 26.
