Report: More Details About Jeff Hardy’s DUI Arrest, Court Case Scheduled For July 5

Jeff Hardy‘s court date has been set.

On June 13, Hardy was arrested on multiple charges, including DUI and. He later bonded out, and the initial court date was set for June 14. However, this date was moved; Hardy is now scheduled to be in court on July 5, according to the official record from the Clerk of the Circuit Court in Volusia County, Florida.

AEW President Tony Khan issued his first comments on the arrest on Tuesday; he made it clear that he contacted Hardy and told him that AEW will assist him in getting treatment for substance abuse issues. Hardy has also been suspended without pay, and he can only return once he successfully completes his treatment and maintains his sobriety.

Update: Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported more news about the arrest. He wrote that Matt and Jeff Hardy attended a concert and a signing on Sunday, June 12. Matt then left Jeff after he ensured that he got to his hotel room. When Matt and his family flew home, Jeff stayed in Florida. During the arrest, Jeff, who was allegedly under the influence, told officers that he had a doctor’s appointment so he could get brain scans for his “head”. Ross Sapp stated that AEW hasn’t commented on this aspect, and, for legal reasons, it’s unlikely that more information will be released on that matter.

The report goes on to clarify that Jeff was arrested at 9:54 A.M. and booked at the jail at 12:45 P.M. EST. As for Jeff driving without a license, Ross Sapp cited sources who stated that Hardy had a driver’s license that he used to rent vehicles, both while he was in WWE and since he signed with AEW. Ross Sapp also wrote that there hasn’t been any word on this aspect affecting Hardy’s ability to rent cars in other states.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
