Troy ‘Two Dimes’ Donovan Released By WWE

Troy Donovan has reportedly been released by WWE.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that the company let Donovan go on June 11 due to a “policy issue.” Despite the release, Donovan was reportedly told that he might be brought back “in a year.”

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful subsequently confirmed the news in a tweet.

Donovan had been featured on WWE NXT 2.0 lately as Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan alongside Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo; they were been paired with “The Don of NXT” Tony D’Angelo. In his most recent televised match, D’Angelo, Donovan and Lorenzo defeated Legado Del Fantasma at NXT In Your House. He also competed at the NXT tapings on June 8.

Before he officially signed with WWE in March, Donovan was independent wrestler Cole Karter, and he appeared on multiple episodes of AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
