Vince McMahon is hard at work shopping his own autobiography.
If you’re a fan of professional wrestling autobiographies, it appears that one of the most significant ones might be on its way.
As first reported by Ian Mohr of Page Six and confirmed by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE owner Vince McMahon is currently in the process of shopping his autobiography about his life and the rise of WWE.
Vince McMahon’s book will reportedly be handled by literary agency Vigliano Associates, who have done publications for other big sports stars like Kevin Garnett and Mike Tyson. McMahon wanted to keep this project quiet, but it’s out there now, so it will no longer be the case.
In terms of why this is happening now, there is another autobiography currently being written about Vince McMahon titled Ringmaster that is scheduled to be released in 2023 from Simon & Schuster.
The author is Abraham Riesman, the man behind the Stan Lee autobiography True Believer: The Rise and Fall of Stan Lee. Riesman had no help from Vince McMahon or WWE for his book but reportedly has new interviews from others in the business and Page Six is reporting that is being called a “juicy read.”
It remains to be seen if Vince McMahon can get his own book on shelves in time to compete with Riesman’s book, but it is certainly going to be an interesting story to follow.
