Thunder Rosa will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship on the June 8 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Shortly before the show, AEW announced that Marina Shafir will challenge for the gold. This bout will be Rosa’s first contest since she defended the title against Serena Deeb at AEW Double or Nothing. She missed the TV tapings on June 1 due to an illness, but she has clearly recovered in time for this week’s episode of Dynamite.
